I wanted to drop you a note and let you know what a truly proficient and $$$$-saving service I believe The Buyer's Agent of Ann Arbor, Inc. provides. Because of the hard work of Mr. David Collins, I was able to be very selective, find a home, and close in 15 days (12 of those days from out of state)! The timing was most important to me as I did not have the luxury of any more than 3 weeks. Moreover, the knowledgeable and critical examination David provided on each property greatly benefited me as a first-time buyer. When and if I decide to consider purchasing another property in Ann Arbor, your phone number will be the first I call.

Whether a first-time buyer or not, your service vs. the traditional Realto (seller's agent) is one of the easiest decisions I have made. I will continue to recomment The Home Buyer's Agent as foremost in home buying!

As you know, we've moved many times over the last twenty years and we've used a number of real estate companies. Nobody else has come close to the service you and your company provided. We would never use the "traditional" methods again.

It is kind of funny because when we first read about your service we really thought it was too good to be true. We are believers now.

When we began the task of purchasing our first home, we were certain the process would be stressful, complicated, and largely incomprehensible. Early on, we took the advice of a handful of columnist and family members and requested the services of The Home Buyer's Agent of Ann Arbor. Here, we met our agent, Robin Grosshuesch.

As their promotional material suggests, The Buyer's Agent did indeed save us money. Most notably, Mr. Grosshuesch conducted extensive research (certainly much more than we would have done independently) to obtain the best terms on the loan. We saved almost $6,000 on our $106,000 home, 5.7% of the purchase price. Thus, we would recommend The Home Buyer's Agent based on this fact alone.

But Mr. Grosshuesch offered something far more valuable than money. He provided an environment in which we felt comfortable asking questions, and had confidence in the answers. He walked us through every step of the process and was always readily available. He even caught a minor defect in the home that all involved had missed, and then advocated on our behalf for compensation. In short, Mr. Grosshuesch turned a potentially stressful and belittling experience into a milestone in our lives that we will look back upon with fondness and gratitude.

Mr. Grosshuesch proved to be a knowledgeable and honest advocate-exactly what we feared would be impossible to find in the world of real estate. We wholeheartedly recommend both Mr. Grosshuesch and his employer to anyone looking to purchase a home. Their services are invaluable, especially for neophytes like us who are entering a world with a language and culture all its own for the first time.

I want to thank the Buyer's Agent for all the great work that was done on our behalf. There was no comparison between the Buyer's Agent and our previous experience with a seller's realtor. After showing us several houses, our seller's realtor pressured us to start making offers. We ended up finding our house on our own, during a period where she wasn't returning our phone calls. She then gave us incorrect information about obtaining a mortgage, steering us to a company with a noncompetitive rate with the explanation that we could only qualify for that company.

Being gun shy from my previous house buying experience made me want only the very best. Over time I realized what a great agent Ralph is. He thoroughly inspected every prospective house, even with our two young children running about. Ralph would conduct the inspection, educate me, and interact with our kids at the same time! He had a great rapport with our entire family. He never showed any disappointment when we rejected a prospective house, instead emphasizing the importance of finding the house that was best for us. Kim and I were going from starter house to "dream" house, and we had very different criteria. We looked at many houses over a 4 month period, making 4 offers on two other houses. Through it all, Ralph operated in a highly professional manner. In addition, he got us a great mortgage rate from the Money Source.

Jon Boyd was also a tremendous help. He stayed informed of our progress and co-inspected several houses. When Ralph was unavailable, Jon always quickly responded to our calls and helped in many ways. He played a crucial role in negotiating the purchase agreements and the special assessment costs at the closing.

Overall, I can't say enough of the fabulous treatment the Buyer's Agent has given us. It is rare these days to get great service, and it usually come at a high price. The buyer's agent not only saved us thousands, they provided great service. I only wish more people knew of you.
